Google Chrome is a browser that you can use regardless of whether you use a Mac or a PC.  If you login from multiple devices the same browsing history, apps, and extensions will be available to you.  Personalize your browser with backgrounds, apps and extensions.

The image above shows some of the apps that you can download into Google Chrome.  Go to the Google Store for more options. Putting them in Chrome lets you launch them more quickly and easily.  Here are some I recommend:
Evernote
Pandora
Picasa
Amazon 1Button
Coloring Pages
Lucas' Whiteboard
Google Play

In the top right corner you can see some of the extensions that you can download from the Google Store. Here are some that I recommend:
The Pinterest Pin It Button
Google Mail Checker (displays the number of unopened mail)
Evernote Clearly (removes side bars)
Evernote Clipper (clips content to Evernote)
Pandora Sound Control (turns Pandora on and adjusts volume)
You Tube Options (removes advertising from You Tube)
AdBlocker (blocks out ads)
Black Menu for Google

December Resources

The Year of the Perfect Christmas Tree
written by Gloria Houston and illustrated by Maine's own Barbara Cooney

Please email me to schedule a holiday story with your students.  I have a great personal collection that I would love to read to them.  You can schedule one or two stories ranging from 15 minutes to a half an hour.  I have something appropriate to every grade level!

Here is a link to my Pinterest page.

The following videos are from reputable sources but I recommend that you preview them in their entirety before you share them with your students.  You may also want to advance beyond the commercials before you mirror the video on your large screen.

We celebrate Halloween!
South students, armed with 12 new digital cameras, took almost 500 pictures of our Halloween activities.  We look forward to adding these pictures with student work to a new Halloween book for the library.  Thanks Fast Track for making this possible!

Welcome!

This site is a place for South school teachers to share links and information about curriculum.  Please let me know if there is anything you would like to see added.  Use the pages on the right to locate information by topic or enter a keyword in the box at the top of the screen.  For questions or suggestions, please see Deanne Tibbetts.
